Behind all of the possible financial rewards of day trading lies the potential for financial disaster. By definition, day-trading means you exit at the end of the day, so your profits must at least cover your commissions and slippage.
Day trading is like running any other kind of business. It requires planning and expertize. Day trading is not something to jump into without considerable thought. Day trading doesn't mean trading every day. Day trading involves taking advantage of price movements in stocks within one trading day.
